      I have been training with Fed at Sound Sports and Training since March 2020. Prior to working with him I had been taking classes at my local YMCA and enjoyed them but felt like I needed some direction and accountability. A close friend had been working with him and raved about her experience so I thought I would give it a try and have been training with him ever since.

      Sound Sports is unique as even though you are receiving 1:1 training it feels like a community, one that is body-positive, inclusive, and engaging. My college-aged daughter started training with Fed a few months ago and has since fallen in love with weightlifting and working out which I never saw coming. Fed is professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. He has worked with me on goal setting and challenging myself with a tailored program based on my wants and needs and continues to reevaluate as I meet goals.

      I have lost numerous inches and pounds, gained depth in my squats and lunges, and increased my core and upper body strength. Fed pays close attention to form which I appreciate to avoid injury and is always encouraging me to try things I have told myself my body couldn’t do prior.       I have worked with coach since January 2020 and found myself accomplishing feats that I never thought would be possible. He has taught me how building and maintaining muscle works, and how to safely use proper form when doing specific lifts. I can't stress enough the wealth of knowledge this man has when it comes to building strength and mobility. Every day that I come in he always has a training schedule that is extremely rigorous but fun. On any given day I could be performing Olympic lifts or competing in a mock meet with Bench Press, Deadlift, and Squat. But the most important thing about having a coach in my corner while I work towards my goals is knowing that he is there to keep my workouts safe. Having him give me cues to let me know if I am reaching depth or my form is breaking down has been monumental in my progression. And just to toot my own horn while giving my coach all the praise, I went from a 185 max bench press at the beginning of the year to a 260!

      I started training with Fed at Sound Sports in June of 2020 when my initial goal was to lose weight and the typical gym setting was very unappealing to me. I had always hated working out but I knew I wanted to get back into shape. After a few months of doing a combination of cardio, strength training, and HIIT I started to see results and even realized I loved going to workout! Fed makes working out fun and encourages you to reach your goals, set new ones, and then reach those. I am currently 25 pounds down and so happy to be a part of Sound Sports.

      Who knows what's already sore BEFORE I go to see him?! Well, it's definitely not an excuse when getting trained by Fed! He creates a workout for me no matter what injuries or ailments I have. He's able to give me a great workout, custom designed to reach my fitness goals even if I'm having a day when my bod's not feeling 100%.

      He keeps it fresh too. I haven't done the same exercise twice I started with him. I've worked out and played sports all my life, but Fed continually comes up with new exercises that are unique, fun, and challenging. The key to this also is that he can do it all in a small group training session. He keeps a good eye on form with more than one client present.

      Lastly, we are all different ages and backgrounds, but it's a nice community of folks who support each other.
